I am re-visiting how we start races. We have a format in place in our Sporting Regs, that lays out how the grid is determined. Over the past several weeks that format has broken down and cars are just lining up anywhere and everywhere. In most cases cars have been lined up 3 wide with a 4th car with his nose half stuck in the middle. The start signal is given and the field arrives in turn 4 wide and mass chaos ensues. Several cars end up off the track and that ruins the handling for most of the field.
The original gird had a F1 style 2x2 formation with the cars all packed relatively close together.
Lately cars have all just lined up all whilly-nilly.
Or we could go back to enforcing the grid order rules with a more spread out grid, this would reduce turn 1 carnage, with the trade off of more spread out field.
Ponder and please participate in the poll above
